1. What are the disadvantages of religions?
- It divides when it is supposed to unite. Many wars have been waged because everyone has a diferrent name for basically the same God. Only the Metaphors are different.
- People who are evil use the church to cover up their badness. That is, it's part of their pretense. Outwardly they appear to be Christians, for example, because they go to church. But on the inside, they are far from it.
- there is discrimination and different ways of teaching in schools.
- lack of multicultural awareness.
- cultural destructions will happen due to different view of different religions.
2. How can religions unite people?
- united by the love of the God
- religions put people into categories on the basis of caste, colour and creed.
- through activities organized. (eg. camp)
- through festival visiting
- they have the same thought and will aim for the same things
3. How can people interpret religions differently?
- Different levels of education, understanding and training may lead one person to hear it one way, and someone else, another.
- All people are different, their experiences will be different and hence their religious ideas will be different.
- Communication is a difficult task, even when the backgrounds, language, culture and shared experiences of the people communicating are identical. When various differences are thrown into the mix, misunderstandings multiply.
